This has long been a favourite of mine. An excellent mix of easy-to-understand stuff for beginners, together with a remarkable breadth and depth of information for the more experienced beekeeper.

Hive and Honey Bee
The Dadant company's classic. Probably more relevant to American beekeepers than UK beekeepers.
The Humble-Bee
F. W. L. Sladen's 1912 work on Bumble Bees. A must for us Bumble Bee fans.
The Red Mason Bee
Chris O'Toole's book on the solitary bee
